Come join the fun of acro!  We teach students the proper form and execution of acrobatics, from simple forward rolls up to more advanced moves like back handsprings and aerials.

Adult Clogging

So you want to learn to clog, but the idea of being in class with a bunch of kids or teens doesn't appeal to you?  Dance Connection has taken care of you!  Whether you've never clogged before, clogged when you were younger and want to pick it back up, or you're a long time clogger just looking for more opportunities to dance, you're welcome to join us for this class!

Ballet

The classic dance form that has introduced generations of dancers to the art is taught here at Dance Connection.  We believe ballet is the cornerstone for all other dance styles.  Dancers will learn the 5 basic positions of ballet, as well as movements like chasse, plie, and releve.  Proper form will be emphasized in all lessons.

Beginner From Scratch Clogging

Do you. or your dancer, find clogging looks fun and wish you could participate, but you've never clogged before so you're not sure  if you can?  Have no fear, this is the class for you.  In this class, we'll take aspiring cloggers with no clogging background (or even any dance background) and instruct them to become cloggers.  This is a slow paced course where dancers will learn the basic building blocks of clogging and slowly learn to put them together into a cohesive dance...

Clogging

Are you ready for a high energy, foot stomping good time?  Look no further!  We teach this traditional, uniquely American dance form right here at Dance Connection.  Only been clogging for a little while?  We'll start with the most basic steps and bring your dancer along at a good pace for them.  Already a clogger?  Join our more advanced classes to learn new footwork and dances!

Combo

Do you have a little one you would like to expose to dance?  Dance can be a lifelong passion and activity, and starting early can be very beneficial.  Plus, dance will help little ones with balance and moving gracefully.  Dance Connection offers combo classes for dancers age 2 - 5 years old.  Dancers will be taught ballet, clogging, and acro skills.

Contemporary Clogging

This style of clogging is the more modern form of clogging.  It evolved from Traditional Clogging, but added modern steps such as "Double Double", "Pull Back", or "Toe Stand".  Dancers will learn how Contemporary and Traditional steps can flow into each other to create an upbeat, high energy dance.

Jazz/Hip-Hop

Do you have a dancer who enjoys listening to the songs on Top 40, Hip-Hop, or Rap stations?  Do they like to dance along to the music?  This is the class for your dancer to be in!  Dancers will learn how to dance to some of the most popular music out there, with rhythm and style that will blow minds!

Modern

A dance form created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it arose as a rebellion against modern ballet. Punctuated by free movements and theatrical stylings, Modern is a beautiful dance to behold.  Dancers will learn to move with grace and artistry but in a way completely different from ballet.

Musical Theater

Calling all theater fans!  Have you ever dreamed of one day performing on stage?   Come join us for this class, which serves as an intro to stage performance.  You'll learn dance with emphasis on audience engagement techniques such as facials and interacting.

Pointe

Pointe refers to ballet dancers who dance on their pointed toes.  It is an advanced level of dance that requires a thorough knowledge of ballet basics as well as being old enough to be on pointe without damaging muscles and ligaments in the foot or ankle.  This class is by invite only.  The staff will have final determination of who gets to participate in this class.

Traditional Clogging

This style of clogging takes dancers back to when clogging was young.  Dancers will learn to perform without any of the more modern steps, such as "Double Double", "Pull Back", or "Toe Stand".

Workshop Clogging

Clogging workshops are fun gatherings of many clogging groups and teams to work on their footwork, learn new dances, and interact with other cloggers.  There are a number of dances that seemingly every clogging group and team know that are danced by anyone who knows the dance during teaching breaks at workshops.  Join us to learn some of these dances, such as "Little Red" and "Bit By Bit" and many more!
